We are looking for a full-time 3D Artist to join our expanding team.

LNG Studios is a creative visualization agency breaking the barriers of reality with highly immersive experiences and visually engaging stories for our clients. We are an innovative, tech-forward company specializing in architectural visualization for the pre-sale real estate market. Our services include 3D rendering, animation, VR/AR, video production, drone photography, interactive modules, branding and website design, 3D printing, and 3D scanning.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Our ideal candidate is passionate about design and architectural visualization and takes great pride in creating beautiful, vibrant imagery. We are looking for someone who is willing to push the boundaries of their craft with an artistic eye and who stays current with their skill set and techniques. In this integral role, the candidate will create visually impactful work from scratch, bringing pre-sale real estate properties to life. Completed works will be seen by thousands of people and help those people make critical decisions about their future. It will also directly reflect the quality of our studio.
Ongoing R&D is a big part of this role. We provide time for creative exploration, and opportunities to present new ideas to the company. Our next team member is not afraid to experiment with different techniques, plug-ins, and theories, in order to deliver exceptional renders and animation to our clients.
You must show aptitude for communication and must be able to work well in a team environment. Our ideal candidate is deadline-oriented and able to multitask on a variety of different projects on a daily basis. You must also be able to apply your creative skills to various marketing collaterals from digital visualizations to print applications to exterior signage.
Our studio has adapted to operating in a hybrid office environment with some of the team always physically in-office, some remote, and others coming in on certain days. The exact arrangement depends on the nature and accountabilities distinct to each role. Due to the responsibilities required of the 3D Artist role, we prefer candidates who would thrive in a fully in-person environment but are also open to considering remote applicants.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Model projects from A-Z to bring our clients’ vision from blueprint to reality
- Utilize modelling, texturing, lighting, animation, post-production techniques and more to create imagery from plans; and life from mere visions
- Responsible for quality control of all renderings at all stages, and also contributing insight and aesthetic solutions to the final product delivered to the client
- Collaborate with the in-house team of Project Managers, Coordinators and freelance artists
- Work closely with the Project Management team and other 3D artists
CORE MEASURABLES:
- Consistent quality control and assurance in final renderings
- Ability to apply feedback from project managers and clients on their work
- Ability to create 3D renderings and animations from beginning to end
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum secondary school education or equivalent
- Degree and/or diploma in fine arts, animation, or equivalent experience is preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum three years experience working in a 3D Artist position
SKILLS:
- Must be able to demonstrate working proficiency modelling texturing and lighting with 3D Studio Max to a professional level
- Proficient with V-Ray, Corona and similar programs
- Comfortable reading and working with CAD files using software tools such as Revit and SketchUp
- Demonstrable knowledge or proficiency in architectural design
- Intermediate to Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite with emphasis on Photoshop
- Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment with a strong understanding of 3D workflow and timelines
- Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in 3D modelling and post-production
- Passion for architecture, real estate and technology is an asset
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Resourceful, dependable and organized
- Ability to anticipate timelines and problems and can plan for contingencies
- Strong collaboration and people skills
- Has a flexible approach and adapts to changes easily

- Good time management for 3D workflow and production timelines

- Animation and Photo Projection knowledge and experience. Understanding the process, structure and execution of animation
- Proficiency with WebGL, modelling, etc. and understanding of how these assets will be utilized on various platforms
- Experience with XR/AR/VR development knowledge and proficiency preferred
- Familiarity with Unity and/or Unreal Engine development knowledge and proficiency would be an additional asset

THE STUDIO:
Our studio has adopted a primarily hybrid model, with some team members in the office full-time due to the nature of their position, and some coming to the office when it works best for them or to benefit from in-person collaboration. The requirement for this position will be detailed above in “The Role.” Though working in a hybrid model, we do require our team to come to the office twice a month for a collective Retrospective (ask us about those! ).
Regardless of physical location, we are a highly collaborative team with lots of cross-department communication, therefore we have adopted a strong tech stack to ensure that communication is clear and consistent:
- Google Workspace: We are a G Suite company and use Gmail and the Google business suite applications
- Slack: For day-to-day communication, DM opportunities with your teammates, or company wide announcements
- Notion: LNG Studios’ one source of truth, including policies, procedures, and general company wiki
- Asana: Our dedicated workflow source. All our projects live and breath in Asana and so we do enforce consistent and organized use to ensure deadlines are not missed, and information is never unaccounted for
- 3D Software: Our 3D team uses the Autodesk AEC software collection including 3ds Max, Revit, the Adobe Creative Suite, V-Ray, Corona, SketchUp, plus the Unity and Unreal Engines. We continue to look to our 3D team for insights on technologies that will up our game
- Review Studio: Our internal and client digital reviewing tool for all our 3D visualizations and design collaterals
COMPENSATION:
- Commensurate with experience.
HIRING PROCESS:
- Only candidates chosen to continue on with the assessment process will be notified
- Once notified, a hiring manager will contact the applicant by direct message, email, or possibly via provided mobile phone
- Instructions including availability and scheduling of an initial interview will be communicated
- After an initial interview, a decision to proceed to a follow-up or second interview (or to end the process) will usually be made within within 1-2 weeks, during which time the applicant is free to follow-up with the hiring manager
- If an applicant is successful to this point; references provided will be checked before an offer is made
- Once a candidate has received an offer, they will have several days to a week to consider and accept
